Term 1) Marines,/Support “Stuck in an isolated position, your ammunition runs out during a firefight. Throw Melee 8+ as your enemies overrun your position.” It came to sword and knife work by the end, Ernesto was lucky to come through the fight unscathed. None of his friends were as lucky. Rank: Lance Corporal.

Term 2) Marines/Support “You are on the front lines of a planetary assault and occupation.” As Support personnel, his team was not part of the initial landing, but they came in right om its heels. There was still plenty of shooting going on around him; he learned to keep an eye out for dangerous situations. No promotion.

Term 3) Marines/Support. " You are tormented by or quarrel with an officer or fellow marine. Gain that character as a Rival as he drives you out of the service." Sergeant Bubba Wilton made it his personal mission to make life miserable for Ernesto. He was never certain why; the NCO just seemed to hate him on sight. At least he got to keep his combat armor.

Term 4) Merchant Marine/Fleet Security. “Disaster! The government drafts your ship for military use.” Lucky for Ernesto, his captain liked him and got him a berth on another ship. Rank: 4th Officer.

Term 5) Merchant Marine/Fleet Security. “When attacked by raiders your ship suffered a J-drive malfunction and you are several months late.” They got away from their attackers, but suffered a misjump. It took more than four months to make their way back to their assigned route. All the shipping contracts had lapsed and those business relationships had to be rebuilt. Those were lean times for the entire crew.

Term 6) Merchant Marine/Fleet security. “Gain one of the following skills from prolong exposure to spacefaring folk.” Lots of trips into the seedier portions of the sector’s spaceports taught Ernesto a few valuable lessons about dealing with ‘morally ambiguous’ people. Rank: 3rd Officer.

Term 7) Merchant Marine/Fleet Security. “Your ship’s captain is killed in an equipment malfunction, forcing several crew members – including yourself – to perform his duties for the rest of the line.” Captain Jenkins was an incredible man, it took six others to replace him. The work was hard and Ernesto decided it was time for a break. Rank : 2nd Officer.
